Hatsudai Freeways and Trees | Tokyo, Japan

Why is it, that we call ourselves ‘man’ and all other living things ‘nature?’ The urban images in  Disgeotic (Dis- meaning ‘apart from,’ and -geotic meaning ‘of the earth’) are produced as a reflection on this question.

These images re-contextualize an anthropocentric view, looking at structures of humankind around the world in context of their ‘natural’ surroundings.
