We sit in a car in traffic, worry, stress, become annoyed with those around us who are also locked in their metal and glass boxes, also worried, stressed, and annoyed.
But when we see past all of our immediate situational problems (the car in front of us driving slow, the man crossing the crosswalk, the lights that keep turning red) we realize that our problem doesn’t lie with each other, or with the traffic lights, but with the overall life situation we find ourselves in. Take away the pressures that are forced upon us by virtue of living in the ‘first-world’ lifestyle, and you take away the majority of stress. Perhaps there’s a little window you can crawl through, somewhere.
