Today, I head back to Silicon Valley with 227 GB of HD video and a ton (metric) of knowledge gained from the dozen or so natural farmers we interviewed while traveling 2,900 miles in Japan and South Korea.

I seem to be in a “numbers” mood right now, so here are some from the trip…

Days Spent:
  • Planning/Emailing – 14
  • Interviewing Farmers – 12
  • Filming B-Roll – 10
  • Editing/Writing – 9
  • Walking Around – 5
  • Sleeping – 2*
(* days where all I did was sleep)
Nights Spent Sleeping on a:
  • Bed – 4
  • Bus – 4
  • Farm – 6
  • Floor – 44
Nights Spent Drinking With:
  • Farmers – 5
  • Artists – 5
  • Korean/Japanese Businessmen – 3
Times I Was Asked/Told:
  • You look like Clint Eastwood – 1
  • You look like John Lennon – 2
  • You look like Jesus – 2*
  • Thirty? You look much older! – 5
  • Do you have a girlfriend? / Are you Married? – 7*

*At this point, I realized that I just look like the first white guy they can think of who has a beard
**Not to be flattered, these are pretty standard high school girl/guy questions to foreigners
