News update for the Final Straw documentary:
Since returning from farms in Japan and Korea, I’ve been searching more for Japanese-style natural farms on the West coast of the U.S. — they have been very hard to find/contact — and just this week a very special farm named “Shumei” has offered to give a tour and chat with us for the documentary project.
This farming organization is based in Japan, but they happen to have a farm in the Santa Cruz mountains which is 22-acres in size and has a strong record of community education and involvement in natural agriculture. I will have the pleasure of visiting in the near future.
